S.NO
POINTS
RAISED BY
DECISION TAKEN
1.
The parents members have underlined the  importance of bringing smart classes to the school.  They also brought to the notice of the committee that this issue is being discussed in three meetings continuously without resolution.   The committee members requested the  Chairman to equip atleast one class with smart class for the forthcoming academic session
Shri. N. Selvathirumal
The Chairman informed the members that Air Force KV has already got the smart classes hence bringing it to our school will be easier now.  He had promised to bring atleast one smart class,  by the end of Feb 2013.
2.
English Course of British Council.   The vice chairman explained the initiative taken to bring the British Council courses to our school premises.  However as there is a huge cost difference between courses conducted at their premises and our premises the plan to bring the course to school  was dropped.
Shri. N. Selvathirumal
The Chairman had adviced to disseminate the details of the information about the courses through prayer meeting and through blog.   It was decided that if more parents are willing to admit then the vehicle can be arranged on contributory basis.

The responsibility of intimating through blog was given to Mrs Nandita Gupta.
3.
Conduct of Tamil classses within school hours.   The vice chairman of the PTA brought to the notice of the committee that the policy letter issued by  KVS has permitted teaching of mother tongue/regional language within the school hours.  At present the  mother tongue classes are held outside the school hours and many children are missing the Tamil classes due to special class and other activities.
He requested the  committee to conduct the classes within school hours.

He also cited the provision being introduced for learning  German  in place of Sanskrit and likewise requested the Chairman to give option of learning Tamil in place of Sanskrit.
Shri. N. Selvathirumal

The parent members expressed that due to the special classes the children are coming late and informed the committee that the children are not  able concentrate on their studies at  home when they come late to homes.  The members also pointed out that the problem is severe for those children who come from faraway places.

The parents  brought to the knowledge of the members that  they have planned some or other extra curricular activities for their children at home like music, dance, painting, additional coaching etc  for their children after school hours.  Now they pointed out that these classes are affected due to the unplanned special classes.

They also brought to the notice of the members that the siblings of the many children are also  forced to stay  at school premises for reasons of security, as some of the children are coming from far away places and cannot be expected to travel alone.
Shri. N. Selvathirumal
The  Chairman  and the teacher members appraised the parent members about the necessity of the special classes, especially due to the introduction of PSA from Feb 13.   However the  Chairman agreed not to extend the class beyond 15:45 hrs

There being no other issues the committee dispersed.
